Overview

A coordinated pest control program in Saskatchewan began with the introduction of the Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food Fieldworker Policy in 1972. Grants are provided through the Fieldworker policy to the ADD Boards and Rural Municipalities (RMs). ADD Boards and RMs work together to coordinate control programs at the local level. Pest Control Officers (PCOs), employed by ADD Boards and RMs, deliver the program at the field level to help property owners develop effective control methods. PCAB’s Pest Control Coordinators focus on creating a more uniform pest control program in Saskatchewan.

The Provincial Pest Control Program is funded by the Government of Saskatchewan and is delivered by the Provincial Council of ADD Boards.
